Demo/Remove HVAC units, furnaces, piping, and ductwork in the ceiling of 24 classrooms, 2 teachers' lounges, 3 resource rooms, and all Sheetmetal in the Mechanical Room.
Install two (2) Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS units) that bring in fresh air, remove humidity, and east the burden on the HVAC system on the roof - improving both energy efficiency and indoor air quality in the old school building and the west annex.
Install new ceiling/wall cassette split systems, Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) heat pump systems, flue piping, new ductwork, controls, and 14 rooftop HP-units for the Old School Building.
Install 8 new furnaces, ductwork, controls, 8 rooftop units (RTUs), and 8 condensers for the West Annex.
Phase II - Welcoming the Faithful (+$500,000)
Pew & Kneeler Upgrade + Sanctuary HVAC
Repairing structural issues to the existing pews and kneelers, and refinishing as necessary.
We will not be replacing the current pews.
Creating several wheelchair-accessible spots within our existing pews throughout the church, so those parishioners are not left sitting in the aisles of the church.
Re-cushioning and re-upholstering the pews and kneelers.
Installing HVAC vents in the sanctuary to provide air-circulation and conditioning for the clergy and servers.
Phase III - Seeing and Hearing the Word (+$500,000)
Sound System + Lighting
Eliminating dead spots where audio is difficult to hear and extending sound to the New Mothers/Bride's Room.
Replacing light fixtures with LED lighting throughout the space to improve visibility, reliability, and elevating the overall atmosphere of the church.
If we are able to upgrade our existing fixtures to LED, the existing fixtures will remain. If not, we will need to purchase new fixtures.
We are committed to keeping the warm lighting in the church and will not go to a bright white LED light.
LED lighting will allow for more cost and energy efficiency, while also allowing for dimmable lighting at special services throughout the year.
Phase IV - Centered on the Eucharist (+$600,000)
new Liturgical Furniture + Baptismal Font upgrade
Replacement of the current liturgical furniture in the sanctuary - Altar, Tabernacle and Credence Table, Ambo, Priest's chair, Deacon's chair, and flexible seating for servers, emcees and additional clergy.
New furniture has not been decided upon, and will continue to reflect the warmth and welcome of the current furniture.
Replacement of the current Baptismal font with a fully plumbed baptismal font.
Our current baptismal font has a drain, but not a means of filling. The new font would be plumbed to fill itself and drain.
Replacing the existing flooring in the sanctuary with complementary stone or upgraded materials.
While the following examples are listed below, no contracts have been signed and no final design decisions have been made at this time.
Remodeling the back wall of the sanctuary to reflect and enhance the existing architectural elements in the church:
Completing the arch at the top of the wall to mimic the entry and narthex windows
Adding simple wooden accents, tying the Baptismal and choir alcoves into our existing wood detail and arches elements
Adding sacred art in the form of a mosaic depicting the Holy Trinity to the back wall, to pull in the colors from our beautiful stained glass windows which flank the sanctuary
Our current crucifix will be repurposed and integrated into the mosaic design.
