Every year hundreds of Holy Trinity parishioners volunteer thousands of hours of service for the benefit of both their parish family as well as the larger community. These volunteers keep our many parish-based ministries active and better the greater community through social outreach programs. They also help form current and future generations in faith through religious education programs, and assist homebound and hospitalized parishioners by bringing to them the greatest gift of our Catholic faith: the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.
Volunteering doesn't require any special skills; sometimes all that's needed is a willing heart. God can use your willingness in ways that you'd never expect. Every act of service, no matter how small, is valuable.

Questions to ask as you discern your call to service:
Whether you decide to volunteer for a week or three years, committing yourself to service is a big step. Your time spent as a volunteer will have a big impact upon you and others. These questions will help you reflect on your motivations and expectations:
- Why do I want to be a volunteer?
Everyone decides to volunteer for different reasons. Do you want to deepend your relationship with God? Are you committed to social justice? Do you anticipate personal growth? Do you want to change your life?- What are my expectations?
What do you want to experience during your time as a volunteer? What do you hope to gain? What do your expect from your ministry?- What do I have to offer?
What gifts can you share with others? What are your strengths/weaknesses? What professional skills do you bring to your chosen ministry?- How do I relate to others?
How do you interact with others? How do you deal with problems and disagreements? Do you have a sense of humor?- What gives me satisfaction?
At the end of the day, what makes you feel good? What do you find comfort in? What do you like to do with others? How do you spend your time when you are alone?- What kind of support will your chosen ministry provide for you?
Will I be offered training? How often will I interact with other volunteers?
