Fr. Mike Koller has served as Pastor of Holy Trinity Parish since July 2011. A graduate of Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary, he is among a growing number of priests who enter the priesthood as a second or (in Fr. Mike's case) third career.
Born in Topeka, Kansas, in 1952, Fr. Mike earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and History from Washburn University. While teaching at Immaculata and Lansing High Schools, he used a delay from ROTC training to complete his Master’s Degree in Education from Washburn. In 1977, he entered active duty in the United States Air Force.
During his military career, Fr. Mike served in Montana, Germany, Italy, and Greece, working in missile systems, arms control, INF treaty assignments, and intelligence.
Fr. Mike views his path to the priesthood following two previous careers as a blessing, providing him with life experience and a deeper understanding of himself. He has said that the calling to serve was always present, though he did not act on it until later in life.
Beloved by the parish community for his gentle manner and calm wisdom, Fr. Mike has provided guidance and leadership through many years of change. Holy Trinity is grateful for his ministry and spiritual presence.
